Matter Gallery Goes Downtown With Their Alternative Perspectives Exhibit

Matter Gallery features their International Artists at First Canadian Place for their exhibit: Alternative Perspectives

Alternative Perspectives is a visual exploration of social issues both at home and within a global framework. Touching on topics such as human rights, cultural identities and industrial impacts, the six exhibiting artists aim to further the discourse through unique expression, working within a variety of mediums including photography, tapestry and painting.

Hailing from Africa, the Middle East and Asia, the featured contemporary artists are all at different stages of their careers however, they all share in producing high calibre work, together amplifying a universal message of what is, and what could be.

The exhibit runs between July 16 – August 24.

Featured artists: Aydin Büyüktas, The Nest Collective, Gözde Ilkin, Siwa Mgoboza,Malekeh Nayiny, and Jake Michael Singer.
