Bad Girls Club
On view from 23rd October 2015, Bad Girls Club aims to investigate the complex and contradictory nature of love, sex, and emotion within the context of modernity. Featuring work by exclusively female-identified artists, this exhibition offers visual vectors that seek to challenge the inherent tensions related to a feminist experience of sexual expectations, self-love/care, and independence. Produced by 28 artists from diverse backgrounds ranging in ages from 19 to 65, the show forms a feminist ideology that encourages a diverse and contextual representation of various artistic identities, in addition to the dominant discourses Bad Girls Club is contesting.
