Strange Legacy by Janna Watson

Janna Watson of Studio Watson is one of the newest resident’s of the Artisan Factory.  Janna is a Canadian artist that uses abstraction as the protagonist of her works and these renditions give you both an escape and a return to reality. With solo exhibits in Stockholm, Seattle, Vancouver and here at home, her latest exhibit, Strange Legacy’ takes you into her past and to her Grandfather’s creations.

“Strange Legacy is a micro collection of original designs by Janna’s grandfather, Arthur Bonnett, from the fifties and sixties that have been updated and contemporized for today’s market.

In the show Studio Watson will explore some of the less conventional uses of carpets in the home in honour of Arthur Bonnett’s weird spirit. Pieces include a room divider, stair runner and cat condo.”
